How a longer move is different
Local jobs around Headingley or Kirkstall are often done and checked the same morning. A longer move needs the van loaded so nothing is riding loose for hours, and a clear arrival plan at an address we may not have visited. Send photos of both stairs and both parking spots. Tell us if keys depend on a solicitor, a developer or a building manager.
We load from our base at D6, 26 Leodis residences, 1 N W Rd, Woodhouse, Leeds LS6 2QF. There is a second base at 42 Chatsworth Fall, Pudsey LS28 8LA, phone 01134361404, which is useful when the collection is on the west side of the city. We do not treat Pudsey as a separate company. It is the same firm, with a second starting point.
What to agree before you book
The quote lists what is included. Packing, extra stops and dismantling of unusual furniture are only included when they are written down. Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered for the journey, including any item you want named.
We do not link this service to a set of route pages. If you are moving house locally as well as sending some items further, start with house removals and say which address is the long one. Packing can be added for the kitchen and fragile rooms.

What affects the cost
Volume
A part load and a full house use different van space and may travel on different days. The inventory is the starting point.
Distance and time on site
Miles are only part of the job. Stairs and a long carry at either end add time that has to be in the quote.
Date
Fridays, month ends and the weeks around university changeover are harder to diary. A midweek date is often easier.
Packing
Longer journeys need better packing. If you want us to pack, that is a separate line, not an assumption.
Access at the destination
A new-build plot, a city flat with a booked lift, or a street with no stopping all change the arrival plan.

Do you only run a fixed list of routes?
No. We quote the addresses you give us. We do not publish a menu of city pairs, because that would look like those were the only journeys.
Can the move finish the same day?
Many journeys can. A very large house, a late key release, or a long distance with slow access at both ends may need a different plan. We say which when we quote.
Do you move offices as well as houses?
Yes. Office moves are a main part of the work. Send the floor plan and the building rules with the enquiry.
What will you not carry?
Paint, fuels, gas bottles and other hazardous items stay behind. Plants and pets travel with you, not in the back of the van.
How long is the quote valid?
Three months. If the list or the completion date changes, tell us and we will revise it.
