Cross Gates grew around the station and the shopping centre on the road east out of Leeds. Older houses sit near the centre. Estates spread towards Manston, Austhorpe and the ring road. Some streets have drives. The ones nearest the station fill with commuter cars on weekdays.
The shopping centre car park is for shoppers. The library is inside it. Neither is where we load a house on a side street. If you are moving from a flat that shares an entrance with the centre, say so, because the rules are different from a semi on a close. Station Approach and the roads that feed the car park are a poor place to stop at 8am. Later in the morning is often easier, if the keys allow it.
The rail line is useful for you. It does not move the furniture. We come by road from Woodhouse, about five miles. Insurance is provided. If the other end is York or further east, the station is a landmark on the way, and the job is priced on the miles.
