Directions from Hyde Park to our Leeds base
Hyde Park is the tight grid south of Woodhouse Moor. Back-to-back houses, small terraces and shared student lets fill streets such as Brudenell, Queens and the roads off Hyde Park Corner. Front doors open almost onto the pavement. There is rarely a drive, and several streets use resident permits.
Our base on North West Road is in the next neighbourhood, so the van is not coming across the city. The problem is the last turn. Permit bays, parked cars and one-way sections leave little room. A long wheelbase van may have to stop on a wider road and trolley in, if the building agrees. Cellar doors and narrow ginnels are common. Measure a sofa against the stair turn before you assume it will leave the front room in one piece.
Changeover weekends, when many tenancies end together, put several vans on the same street. Tell us if only one room is moving. Cricket at Headingley, just north of the moor, fills the same kerbs. Insurance is provided.
See student removals for a single room and flat removals where the house has been split into flats. Nearby: Woodhouse and Headingley. Leeds removals is based on North West Road, beside this area.
Back-to-backs often have the kitchen at the front and the stairs hard against a wall. A fridge may need the door off. Tell us before the day if a neighbour’s yard is the only way to the rear, because we will not cross it without a clear yes. Permit zones change by street, so the sign at the end of the road is what we follow.

Moving in Hyde Park: common questions
Is Hyde Park the same as Woodhouse?
No. Hyde Park is the neighbourhood by Woodhouse Moor and Hyde Park Corner. Woodhouse is the next area east, where our base is. The postcode LS6 covers both, so the street name matters.
Why is parking hard on moving day?
Many streets are resident permit zones, and the houses are back-to-backs or terraces with no drive. A van needs a legal space at the door. Tell us the street so we can plan the stop.
Where is the nearest library?
Headingley Library on North Lane, LS6 3HG, is the nearest Leeds Libraries hub. The general line is 0113 378 5005. Hyde Park itself is not listed as its own library.
