Directions from Harehills to our Leeds base
Harehills is a dense terrace district east of the centre. Harehills Lane and Roundhay Road are the main spines. Back-to-backs and through terraces fill the grid between them. Front doors open onto the pavement. Yards are small. Cars already use every legal gap, and some gaps that are not legal.
A removal van is wider than the gap people leave. On a steep street we may stop at the top or bottom and carry, if the distance is reasonable. Tell us about outside steps, a door that opens onto a junction, and whether the sofa has to come through the house because the front door is narrow. Bin day makes the pavement worse. If you can, do not book the same morning as the wagon.
St James’s is on the edge of the area, so Beckett Street has hospital traffic as well as local cars. From Woodhouse the trip is about two and a half miles through the centre or around it. Insurance is provided.
See house removals and man and van for a smaller load. Nearby: Chapel Allerton and Seacroft. Leeds removals is based in Woodhouse.
These streets reward a smaller shuttle if the road really cannot take a large van. Say if the sofa is in a back room of a back-to-back, because the path through the house may be the only path. Harehills Lane outside the Compton Centre is busy. We stop at the house, not at the hub. Roundhay Road is the other busy spine. Book the street name.
