Kirkstall spreads from the abbey and the river up to Kirkstall Road and the streets under the ridge towards Headingley. You will find terraces, inter-war semis, flats near the retail park and houses on hills that drop to the Aire. Kirkstall Forge, further west, is a newer waterside development with its own station and tighter access rules.
Kirkstall Road is fast and busy. A removal van should not sit in a bus lane or on a retail-park roundabout. Streets by the abbey are prettier and narrower, with parked cars and visitors at weekends. If the house is in the Forge development, tell us about barriers, height limits and where deliveries are supposed to stop. A standard terrace on Morris Lane or the roads off Abbey Road is a different job from a flat in a new block.
The tip on Evanston Avenue is in the area, which helps a clear-out, but its queue is separate from your move. From Woodhouse we come down through Burley or Headingley, about two miles. Insurance is provided.

Abbey weekends bring visitors to the riverside even when there is no match. A Saturday house near the grounds needs an earlier slot.
