Directions from Adel to our Leeds base
Adel lines the A660 as it leaves the built-up city towards Bramhope and Otley. Stone houses, later family homes and a few lanes sit back from Otley Road. Drives are common. Some are long, gated, or shared. Golden Acre park is the green landmark on the road, with its own visitor car parks. Those car parks are not part of a house move.
Otley Road itself is a fast bus route. Stopping on it is a last resort. We use the drive or a side road. If a tree, a low gate or a tight turn would stop the van reaching the door, tell us and we will plan the carry. A piano from a stone house with steps needs that conversation before the day, not when the van is in the lane. Weekend traffic to the park and to the Wharfe valley slows the A660. A Headingley match does the same thing closer to the city.
From Woodhouse it is about four miles. Insurance is provided. The address is still Leeds.

Otley Road is not a place to linger. Side lanes can be tight, with stone walls and overhanging trees. If the gate is narrower than the van, we stop short and carry.
