An office move fails when the building rules and the staff list disagree. The service is office removals. This page is the planning sequence we ask clients to follow. House moves are the other main part of our work. This is the workplace version.
Four weeks out
Measure both floors. Mark what is staying, what is being sold, and what is coming. Book the goods lift or loading bay in both buildings, and ask what paperwork they want before a crew is allowed in. Send us those rules with the enquiry so the quote matches the slot you have been given.
Decide who packs pedestals. We can crate files. Your IT lead should shut down computers and pack anything they do not want handled. We do not disconnect servers.
The week before
Label desks to match the new floor plan. Colour by team if that helps. Clear personal items. Confidential paper should be in files, not loose in a drawer. Tell reception at the old site what time we will arrive, and who can sign us in.
Check the new office has power, a working lift and a place for crates that is not a fire exit. If the fit-out is late, tell us. We can move the date if the diary allows. We cannot unload into a floor you cannot use.
On the day
One contact on site, a printed plan, and keys. We protect floors where required, move in the order agreed, and rebuild standard desks. Your team checks screens and door codes before we leave.
Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered for equipment you want listed. Get a free quote with both addresses, or read the access notes for Leeds city centre.
