What is included?
Ask whether packing, dismantling, extra stops and parking time are in the figure. A quote that only says “house move” is incomplete. Ours stay valid for 3 months. If the list changes, the quote should be revised, not guessed on the pavement.
Who is coming, and from where?

What about insurance and damage?
Insurance is provided. Ask what is covered and how to note an existing mark. Do not rely on a cover figure printed in an advert. If you want an item named, say so before the day.
What do they need from you?
Stairs, lift bookings, parking suspensions, keys and a contact number. A firm that does not ask about access has not planned the job. Ask what they will not carry: paint, fuel and pets are the usual answers, and they are ours.
What happens if completion moves?
Ask how a date change works. A valid quote is not the same as a free slot. Tell us as soon as the solicitor or the developer moves the keys. Then get a free quote with both addresses if you have not already.
