People sometimes send one enquiry that mixes a family house, a city office and a student room. They can all be moved. They should not be planned as the same job.
House moves and office moves are the work we do most. A student room is occasional, and it is smaller.
A house
The inventory is every room you want emptied: beds, sofas, loft boxes, the shed if you said so. Terraces in Leeds often add a tight stair and parking on both sides. The quote follows that list. Start with house removals when the whole home is going.
You still handle keys, meters and anything the solicitor wants left behind. We load, move and set furniture down.
An office
The limit is usually the building, not the desks. Goods lifts, loading bays and a Monday reopen time need a named contact at each end. Staff should clear personal drawers. IT equipment should be shut down by your own team. The planning notes for that are on how to move an office in Leeds, and the service itself is office removals.
A student room
One room, a few larger pieces, and a busy weekend in Headingley or Hyde Park. Do not book a full house crew for a car’s worth of boxes. If the house is emptying because the tenancy has ended for everyone, say so. That is closer to a house job.
Insurance is provided on the jobs we book. Ask what is covered. Get a free quote with addresses and a list, and we will say which service fits.
